Andre Johnson wants trade, four teams interested
By Brian Miller
Yesterday Andre Johnson hinted that he might return to the Houston Texans in time for training camp. That was yesterday and things can change overnight. Today we are hearing via NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport that Johnson wants a trade.

Johnson hasn’t really said much of anything to anybody regarding his intentions. Perhaps he is waiting to see what Lebron James does. I kid. The Texans will open their training camp later this month and despite the rumor yesterday of Johnson showing up, it’s looking more and more likely that he won’t.
Johnson is set to earn $10 million this season but he wants more. Rapoport doesn’t elaborate on the four teams that might be interested in the wide-receiver but whomever is interested would need to re-negotiate his contract just to keep him happy.
Johnson is still capable of putting up huge numbers, with quarterback concerns the last two seasons, Johnson still posted 1,598 yards in 2012 and 1,407 yards last year. In his eleven seasons Johnson has made the Pro-Bowl seven times including the last two seasons. The Texans are not likely to part with Johnson but his value may never be higher. At 33, Johnson can still contribute at a high level but that will start to dwindle over the next two or three seasons. That’s not to say the Texans ‘should’ trade him but they shouldn’t discount the notion either.
The Texans will enter the 2014 season with first time NFL head coach Bill O’Brien.
