Chandler Parsons signs three-year, $46M offer sheet with Dallas Mavericks
By Jack Crosby
The Dallas Mavericks were one of the teams coming into the free agency period that were looking to make a splash by making a run at either Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James. Now while they won’t get either of those two to come play with Dirk Nowitzki, it looks as if they won’t come away empty-handed as Mark Cuban is on hand to watch the signing of Chandler Parsons of the Houston Rockets.
Cubans’s arrival and Parsons’ signing was first reported by Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports.
While, yes, Parsons might not be considered on the level of James or Anthony, he was considered one of the more lucrative free agents on the market of that next tier of available players.

Now the Rockets will have the opportunity to match the sheet over the next few days, however with the lofty free agency expectations they still have, such as signing Chris Bosh should LeBron head away from Miami, it seems a bit unlikely.
Parsons is getting set to enter his fourth year in the league, and last season was his most productive with Houston as he averaged 16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and four assists.
Again, the Rockets have three days to match the deal.
