Every basketball fan is on pins and needles right now hoping to find out what team LeBron James is going to play for next season. But the fans aren’t the only people in the dark right now about King James’ plans.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

As of Thursday afternoon, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat, the two frontrunners for James’ services, have not been informed of his decision, according to Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix and USA Today Sports’ Sam Amick.

These reports come on the heels of a separate one from ESPN’s Chris Broussard that suggests James still needs to talk to his family.

While the Cavs, Heat and basketball fans everywhere would like LeBron to simply make his plans known immediately, it doesn’t look like that will be the case.

James is clearly taking his time with such an important decision, so a timetable for when he will make his intentions known is not available.

While there is a report out there from Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops that James returning to Cleveland is lock, there are still those around the league that believe James will remain with Miami, according to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald.

All of this is to say that LeBron James’ decision is very much unknown at the moment, perhaps even unknown by LeBron himself.
