There seemed to be no doubt that Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade would return to the Heat, even after opting out of his deal.

More from Chicago Bulls

It was expected that Wade, forward LeBron James and center Chris Bosh, who also opted out, would all wind up returning to the Heat. Even now that James has agreed to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers and it seems like Bosh will soon be a member of the Houston Rockets, most figure Wade, who has spent his entire career with the Heat since they selected him with the fifth-overall pick  in 2003 NBA Draft, will sign another giant deal with the Heat and finish out his career there.

However, the Heat likely won’t be a player for the likes of Carmelo Anthony or another free agents, especially if Bosh does indeed join the Rockets. That has caused many to speculate that Wade may want to move on and play for a team that has a realistic chance at a title.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Bulls are gauging the interest of Wade.

Wade is, of course, from Chicago and flirted with the Bulls when he was a free agent back in 2010. Wade probably isn’t the exact fit the team is looking for and his injury problems combined with those of Derrick Rose, would raise some eye brows. However, if Anthony and Los Angeles Lakers’ free agent big man Pau Gasol turn down the Bulls, they may not have many options.

Wade went for 19.0 points, 4.7 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 54.5% from the field, 28.1% from three and 73.3% from the free throw line last season.
