In a gloriously amusing coincidence, this ad for Hublot watches featuring brand spokesman Dwyane Wade ran right alongside LeBron James’ essay on SI.com announcing his return to Cleveland (via @Perlberg).

Different ads ran for different people in that particular spot, but still, the fact that Wade’s Hublot ad would happen to show up for some at exactly the same time James was announcing his triumphant return to the place where it all started…
If I were one to read into this kind of thing, I’d say the internet gods were trying to send a message. What message exactly?
Dwyane Wade is just about out of time?
It’s time for Dwyane Wade to hang it up?
Hey Dwyane Wade, “watch” your Miami Heat team now become totally irrelevant?
Let’s all “watch” LeBron and the Cavaliers destroy the Miami Heat?
The possibilities are endless. But of course the ad placement was just a coincidence. No significance to it at all.
And what does Dwyane Wade care anyway? He’s doing pretty well in his life. He’s endorsing designer watches, for gosh sakes.
Why does Dwyane Wade need the aggravation of being on a competitive team every year? All that pressure. He’s already got his rings. He can coast right on into retirement. With a sweet watch on his arm. And LeBron back in Cleveland adding to his trophy collection.
