The Miami Heat truly believed they would have an opportunity to re-sign LeBron James. Those hopes came crashing down on Friday, when LeBron announced he would be returning home to join the Cleveland Cavaliers.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

The announcement came in an exclusive piece on Sports Illustrated.

Cleveland Cavaliers fans were happy with the news, but the same cannot be said for the Miami Heat supporters.

Miami fans instantly began burning LeBron James jerseys while the Cavaliers issued a very happy statement about LeBron’s return, and then there was Heat owner Micky Arison.

Arison was one of the many Heat faithful that believed LeBron would return to the team that he won two NBA titles with, so when he learned the news of LeBron James’ decision he took to social media to show off his disappointment.

For the first time ever, it looks like the weekend parties in Cleveland will be much more exciting than those in South Beach.
