The decision by LeBron James to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers is having a ripple effect that is effecting other teams and their plans with free agency. The most directly effected team are the Miami Heat but next to them the Houston Rockets have been waiting on the LeBron decision before they can move forward with signing Chris Bosh to a max contract.

Houston wants to get Bosh’s deal done but they need to trade Jeremy Lin first before they can sign Bosh and they may end up having to get into sign-and-trade negotiations with the Miami Heat before they can land Bosh as well.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, none of that will happen until the Rockets get word from Bosh that he’s going to sign their max contract offer.
This might even open up the possibility of the Heat taking on Jeremy Lin in a trade as his salary is what needs to be moved and the Heat need to make sure they start getting quality names on their team to make up for the loss of Bosh and LeBron and that might mean Jeremy Lin is realistic option.
