Mavericks, Rockets may lead interest in Chris Andersen
By Josh Hill
The Miami Heat lost LeBron James this morning but they’re working hard to make sure he’s the only championship piece they let slip through the cracks. So far Pat Riley has been able to retain Chris Bosh and it’s looking like Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem will follow suit in the very near future.

One player who is drawing interest around the league is Chris Andersen, as the Birdman has as many as four teams eying his services. Among those teams, the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks are the most likely to be in the lead for the big man depending on how things shake out with Chandler Parsons.
Andersen has a noted loyalty to the Miami Heat but as Jared Zwerling points out, this may be as much about the money for Anderson as it is about where he wants to play. He’s not a max player by any means but he could get a big boost in salary from a team like Houston that needs to spend money and do so now.
A return to Miami seems to be the best fit but there is money on the market for Andersen and it will be interesting to see if he chases it or stays in South Beach.
