According to Marc Stein from ESPN and Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the Memphis Grizzlies have moved quickly to steal Carter away from the Mavericks and have signed him to a three-year, $12 million deal. Carter’s third year of the contract is just partially guaranteed but all Mavs fans care about is that it’s not guaranteed by their team.

The loss of Carter for Dallas will likely be coupled with the loss of Chandler Parsons, who will be headed back to Houston once they match his offer sheet in wake of losing Chris Bosh to the Miami Heat.
As for the Grizzlies, the addition of Carter means that there will be no return for Mike Miller, who is more than likely to join LeBron James in Cleveland as part of the Cavaliers resurgence this offseason.
