According to Sam Amick from USA Today, Pau Gasol is continuing to draw interest from the Chicago Bulls and we could see a sign-and-trade that involved Carlos Boozer being traded out to the Lakers with Gasol coming to the Windy City.
Should this scenario play out, which sounds rather possible at this point, it’s something that could prevent the Bulls from landing Carmelo Anthony from the Knicks. Of course, a deal that sees Gasol come to Chicago would be after the Bulls already lost on Melo which then makes Boozer and his bad contract expendable in other deals.
It’s not something that is officially happening, but getting Gasol and dumping Boozer’s contract is a win-win situation for the Bulls.
