The Phoenix Suns aren’t a team in the mix for any of the big free agents this summer but they may have snagged themselves a sleeper with their latest move.

According to Yahoo! Sports insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings have agreed to a sign-and-trade that will send Thomas and a 4-year, $27 million contract to the Suns.
The move is meant to signal that a replacement will be needed for either Goran Dragic or Eric Bledsoe and Thomas is a steal at the price the Suns got him at. That will come in handy when it’s time to give either Bledsoe or Dragic a fat contract and it’s looking like Dragic will be the one to get it.
Miami is now a dark horse candidate to steal Bledsoe away, as he’s a restricted free agent and the addition of Thomas in Phoenix may keep the Suns from falling over themselves to match an offer for Bledsoe.
Either way, Thomas is soon on his way to the Suns and that’s something that will make Phoenix even better moving forward.
