Dallas missed on Chandler Parsons — at least Houston is expected to match following the loss on Chris Bosh — and they will be without Vince Carter who was scooped up by the Memphis Grizzlies.
But the Mavs have their eyes on a big prize as Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Dallas could come at Lance Stephenson with a short term, big money offer that takes him off the market and places him in Dallas.
Chasing Stephenson is something that we’ve heard the Mavericks might try to do but this is the most aggressively their attempts have been described. After missing out on as many as three free agents though, the Mavericks might take a stab at signing Stephenson if for nothing other than the sake of their pride as they can’t afford to swing and miss this much when it comes to big players that can help them get out of the first round of the postseason next year.
