Pau Gasol has already decided where he wants t sign and Luol Deng has decided that he’s down to the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat, but one interesting free agent name still out there is Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson.
According to Mitch Lawrence from the New York Daily News, the Phoenix Suns and Indiana Pacers could engage in sign-and-trade talks that would see Goran Dragic in a Pacers uniform next season and Lance Stephenson with the Suns.
"The Pacers would love to make a deal for Phoenix’s Goran Dragic, with Lance Stephenson being a candidate to go to the Suns in a sign-and-trade. But the Pacers want to keep George Hill, their much-maligned point guard. Stephenson is more likely to land in Charlotte which will have to overpay him at about $12M per year."
This seems to be a plan that is only being mildly considered as there are some massive pieces involved here for both sides. But at the core of the situation, things make sense as the Suns are loaded with point guards and will need to eventually get rid of Dragic, Eric Bledsoe or someone and the Pacers need a point guard.
It’s also not the first time the Pacers have been involved rumors with Goran Dragic so there might actually be something to these rumors.
