The Miami Heat are beginning to pick up their pursuit of free agent Luol Deng.

More from Miami Heat

Deng has been considered an option for the Heat since LeBron James announced he would be leaving the team and returning home to join the Cleveland Cavaliers.

According to the latest buzz, the Cavaliers interest in Deng is very real and they are willing to open up the checkbook.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports Deng could make near $10 million per year in South Beach.

That would not be a bad pay day for Deng.

While teaming up with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade isn’t as appealing as it once was, it would still be a solid group of talent for Deng to surround himself with and one that would allow the Heat to avoid a serious drop off on the court.
