From now on, instead of a message warning fans to keep their heads and other body parts out of the field of play, Arena Football League teams can just post this video on their board. I think fans will get the hint.
Don’t stick your head into the field of play or OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT IDIOT???
That fan got knocked silly. Because – here’s the key point, arena fans – the player was wearing a helmet and the fan was not.
Also, the player was moving at high speed and the fan was not.
Imagine you were sitting there and someone threw a watermelon at your head from close range. And the watermelon was wearing a football helmet.
That’s what it would feel like to get hit in the head by a speeding arena football player. So, are there any questions? No. I didn’t think so.
Just think of it like riding the bus. Don’t stick your head out the window of a moving bus. And don’t stick your head into the field of play at an arena football game. Or any sporting event, really. But especially arena football.
