It was a big night for boxing and the Mexican fan base showed up in a huge way thanks to the star power on the card with Canelo, Abner Mares and Francisco Vargas.
Showing just how big of an event this was, some of the stars from the Mexico national soccer team made the trip.
Among those in attendance were goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, midfielder Miguel Layun and super sub Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez.
Prior to the match, Ochoa paid Alvarez a visit in the locker room.
