The Cleveland Cavaliers are interesting in reuniting Miller with the newly signed LeBron James. Miller and James were teammates with the Miami Heat for three seasons (2010-2013). The Denver Nuggets have also been pursuing Miller. The Grizzlies are out of the mix after agreeing to a deal with Dallas Mavericks’ free agent guard Vince Carter.
According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com, the Cavaliers are offering Miller a deal worth about $5.5 million over two years while the Nuggets are offering a much better deal – $12 million over three years. Whichever of the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets don’t land forward Chandler Parsons will likely be in pursuit of Miller as well. The Mavericks signed Parsons, a restricted free agent of the Rockets, to an offer sheet worth $46 million over three years. The Rockets have until midnight to match.
Miller averaged 7.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game last season while shooting 48.1% from the field, 45.9% from beyond the arc and 82.1% from the free throw line. In his 14-year NBA Career, the former Florida Gators’ star has averaged 11.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 46.2% from the field, 40.9% from three and 76.9% from the charity stripe.
