The Dallas Mavericks may be getting a little desperate. At least that is what the latest Richard Jefferson news suggests.

After striking out on a number of their top targets, it appears that the Mavericks and Jefferson are putting the closing touches on a potential agreement.
According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, it will be a one-year deal.
Free agent Richard Jefferson is finalizing a one-year agreement with Dallas, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

Jefferson has been around the league for quite some time and has found his way onto a number of teams, so at the very least he will provide another veteran presence for the Mavericks.
Last season with the Utah Jazz, Richardson did put together a solid season and found himself top three on the team in a number of categories, so if he can continue that trend it may be a bargain steal for Dallas.
