Yasiel Puig ejected for arguing called third strike (Video)
By Hayden Kane
As far as ejections for arguing balls and strikes go, this one is pretty disappointing. We certainly have come to expect more drama from Yasiel Puig if he is going to get himself run for arguing a called third strike.

Given the bat flips and the exuberant manner with which Puig approaches this game of baseball that we love so much, we could have reasonably expected a spectacular ejection from Puig. He wouldn’t even necessarily need to get himself in trouble. Maybe just something like sitting down in the batter’s box or just finding a way to incorporate a bat flip into his exit from the game.
Instead Puig just said something to the umpire, refused to let it go when said umpire blew him off, and then started saying bad words to earn himself an ejection. He did so from the batter’s box and with no real screaming, yelling, pointing, or any other flares for the dramatic. Then Puig just walked off the field in a disgust.
Don’t get me wrong, because Puig lost his temper, hurt his team, etc. For a normal player it would be quite the outburst of emotion. But Puig is no normal player.
