The NAB Offseason is starting to wind down a little bit as the free agency frenzy is cooling off and teams are starting to settle into the Summer League season a little more comfortably now.

More from Los Angeles Clippers

But one of the biggest stories of the year was the scandal that involved Donald Sterling and his racist comments he made and the fallout that occurred. That fallout saw Adam Silver ban Sterling for life, fine him $2 million and force the sale of the Clippers.

Sterling isn’t going quietly though and the drawn out legal process of whatever he’s trying to do may cause the ownership of the Clippers to not transfer before the season starts.

To be clear though, Silver stated that no matter the delay in ownership transfer, Donald Sterling will absolutely no be the owner of the Clippers when the season starts.

There’s no way that Sterling would ever remain as owner, but the fact that the transfer in ownership will likely be delayed is discouraging to fans and players who want to leave the entire situation in the past.
