The Cleveland Cavaliers landed LeBron James this summer and the move has caused a lot of speculation as to what the team could end up doing next.

Many believe that the best move Cleveland can make is to trade No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins — an unproven pro who was freshman sensation at Kansas — for Kevin Love, who is perhaps the best power forward in the game right now and still on the rise at just 25 years old. GM David Griffin doesn’t seem to think that’s a good deal and it’s led to some sharp sarcastic criticism of his line of thinking.
As Nate Duncan from Basketball Insiders points out — largely sacrificially — perhaps a trade that David Griffin does think Wiggins is worth would be for Anthony Davis or perhaps Kevin Durant.
"Anthony Davis I think clearly is a trade they’d make, not that the Pels would. Dwight Howard perhaps, since he fits so well with what they need on D. But he’s older. Love is worth trading because he’s still so young. If Love isn’t good enough for Griffin to trade Wiggins for, perhaps nobody is other than KD."
The point is, the rookie GM is betting large on Wiggins as he seems to be very adamant that Wiggins talent in the future is not worth that of Love’s talent now. It’s a bold stance to take and it’s truly the first big risk that Griffin is taking as the general manager of the Cavaliers.
