Humphries has been mentioned with more than a few teams recently but there was always the possibility of him coming back with the Boston Celtics later this summer. He’s coming back but only briefly so as the Celtics have agreed to sign-and-trade Humphries on Tuesday.
According to NBA scribe Jared Zwerling and Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the Celtics have finally decided what to do with Humphries and have shipped him to the Washington Wizards in a sign-and-trade agreement.
Washington now adds Humphries to an impressive offseason haul that saw them retain Marcin Gortat, reel in Paul Pierce and now add a often valuable Humphries to the bench for depth.
