FOX fails to mention Tony Gwynn during MLB All-Star Game: Twitter lets them know about it
By Jack Crosby
The 2014 Major League Baseball All-Star Game from Target Field in Minnesota just concluded just a short time ago, with the American League coming away with the 5-3 win. Throughout the night, though, the majority of the talk surrounded Derek Jeter playing his final outing in the illustrious game, but Fox forgot to mention a former All-Star who recently passed, Tony Gwynn.

Not once during the entire broadcast did anyone on the crew mention Gwynn, his passing, his career, his life–nothing. Not one word.
Oh, and you better believe that the baseball fans of the twitter universe let them know just how big of a screw up they made by not mentioning one of the greatest legends to ever play the game.
It was indeed shocking, but just by seeing all the outrage on twitter, you can see the impact that Gwynn had on people that got to see him play. Just a shame.
