The ongoing Kevin Love saga has led to the Minnesota Timberwolves to be mentioned in potential trades from coast-to-coast. Whether it’s the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers or Boston Celtics, Love has been mentioned all over the map and the talks don’t seem to be dying down, even if the teams mentioned change up.

According to ESPN, who sort of states the obvious for those who have been watching the situation unfold, the Warriors would already have acquired Kevin Love from the Wolves by now had they just been willing to allow Klay Thompson to be a part of the deal.
"Sources told ESPN.com that Wolves owner Glen Taylor and Warriors counterpart Joe Lacob have maintained a level of dialogue on a potential trade of Love to Golden State, which sources insist would have been clinched by now had the Warriors — at the behest of new coach Steve Kerr — relented on their refusal to part with Thompson. The Warriors have been unwilling to offer the Timberwolves more than a combination of former All-Star forward David Lee and 2012 lottery pick Harrison Barnes — likely packaged with a future first-round pick — in exchange for Love and swingman Kevin Martin, according to sources."
The Dubs want Love bad but they don’t want to give up Klay Thompson to do it. The same situation is brewing Cleveland where the Cavs want to get Love but don’t want to give up No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins to to get a deal pulled off.
For being one of the most coveted players in basketball — and apparently one of the top five in the game — it sure seems teams are hesitant to give the Wolves anything of real value in exchange for Kevin Love.
