The NBA free agency frenzy is now over, for the most part, but that just has fans setting eyes on the 2015 and 106 classes of free agency.

More from Golden State Warriors

One of those players eligible for free agency is Kevin Durant and already teams are starting to lineup and wait for him like they’re camping outside of Best Buy on Black Friday for a TV.

According to Tim Kawakami of Bay Area News Group, The Warriors may end up being able to offer Kevin Durant a max salary in 2016, if he he hits free agency, without having to breakup their excellent core of players they have at the moment.

"Short question: Can the Warriors carve out max cap space for a run at Durant in July 2016 without tearing up their core? Short answer: Yes, if they move some money (and haven’t acquired Love in the meantime), they very much can. They probably couldn’t realistically fit both Love and Durant. The Warriors at $65M in payroll commitments in July 2016 would need to clear at least another $14M to be able to offer up a projected $24M Kevin Durant max slot (if you tie his max salary to a $75M salary cap)."

This seems like a long shot to say the least, but the bottom line is that Durant mat end up going the LeBron route and chose to find the best place possible for him when he’s eligible to take free agent visits.

There’s no saying Durant will for sure test the market, but the growing conversation about such a thing is leading many to believe Durant testing free agency is possible.
