The Minnesota Timberwolves are still trying to figure out a trade for Kevin Love as they’ve found a pair of teams interested in him but can’t seem to get any traction with trade talks.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Both the Holden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers have expressed interest in trading for Love but neither seem willing to give up what Minnesota wants in the trades. For Cleveland, Andrew Wiggins seems untouchable and the Dubs are close to resorting to squirting the Wolves with a water bottle every time they ask about Klay Thompson.

One Eastern Conference GM is flabergasted at the notion that there is even a question about whether trading for Love is a good idea.

The Wolves trading Love seems to be a foregone conclusion but this general manager brings up a solid point that many are sharing in his confusion. If Love really is the best power forward in the game, or is a top 5 player, then why are the trades being met with so much resistance?

Career potential has insane value in the NBA but the bottom line is that Love’s potential is proven and someone is going to trade for him eventually.
