Henderson was born Kevin Long and was remembered by her sibling Bullock in a pair of grief-stricken tweets:
AP (via The Washington Post) says Henderson was found in an alley in northwest Baltimore early Wednesday morning. No suspects have been identified, no motive has been established. Police would not speculate on a possible connection between this crime and another murder of a transgender woman last month.
A 25th overall pick out of North Carolina last year, Bullock averaged 2.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game in his rookie season with the Clippers. A quad injury has forced him to sit out of summer league action this year.
Bullock, a Baltimore native, played his high school ball at Kinston High in North Carolina. He was named a McDonald’s All-American in 2010 and 2nd team All-ACC in 2013.
