The players, who both have ties to the Syracuse area and presumably know each other as a result, were charged with disorderly conduct and battery after becoming involved in a physical altercation outside Dream nightclub in South Beach. Whether they fought with each other or together against other people is not known. What is known is that no one else was arrested.
This arrest could be very bad news for Dunbar who has already been suspended by the NFL once for PEDs. Greene last played in the NBA in 2012 for the Kings and is attempting a comeback in 2014 (perhaps with the Heat; they do have an opening or two on their roster).
No details were immediately available on whether bond was posted or if either man was still in custody as of Sunday.
Dunbar’s arrest is just one more example of why NFL people hate the offseason. It’s always these last couple weeks before camp that lead to the arrests.
Guys just can’t keep it locked down for those last few weeks. They’ve got to be going out, partying, getting in fights, doing other stuff they shouldn’t be doing. Dunbar really messed up.
