Philadelphia Eagles safety Keelan Johnson was arrested early on Friday morning in Tempe, Arizona after a physical incident in a bar. Apparently an acquaintance of Johnson was involved in a bar fight and was detained by police.

Johnson stepped in an interfered instead of standing back, and that is when he got himself into trouble

From KTAR:

"Johnson was told to step back multiple times and was given a “directional contact” to the chest. Johnson then allegedly shoved an officer. A brief scuffle followed, in which Johnson refused to lower his arms for arrest.Johnson waived his Miranda rights and informed police he shoved the officer because he felt the officer didn’t have a right to order him around and physically attempt to move him.Johnson appeared to be intoxicated at the time. He was charged with assaulting a police officer, passively resisting arrest and disorderly conduct."

“We are disappointed to learn of the arrest of Keelan Johnson this past weekend in Arizona,” the Eagles said in a statement. “We are still trying to learn all of the facts that led to his arrest. At this point, it’s a pending legal matter and therefore, we will have no further comment.”

The NFL would likely look into punishing him, but as is their standard operating procedure they’d likely wait for the legal system to sort it out first.
