The New York Giants have a new offensive coordinator in Ben McAdoo and it starts a new era for Eli Manning who is playing for a different coordinator for the first time in his career.

“It is different,” Manning said, via USA Today. “You come into the season a little nervous. You have a good feel for it, but not to where I want it to be, and that’s just going to come with more repetition and more plays. It’s a bit of a different feeling this time of year than it has been in previous years. We’ve still got a lot of work to do and a lot to improve on – to get comfortable with myself and get comfortable with my teammates and everything that goes on with being successful in an offense. We’ve got a lot of work to do, but I’m excited about that challenge.”

Manning did say that the offense is beginning to pick it up and to click.

“I think the spring and the first couple of practices, you’re just trying to get a feel for everything,” Manning said. “You’re thinking a lot, but as we got into the OTAs and minicamps, we started to look and feel like a football team.

“The offense was making plays and had an understanding of what was going on and started to click a little bit, so I’m excited. Hopefully we can get right back to all of that from where we left off in the spring and come in here, get rolling, have a better feel for what’s going on. We kind of saw what this offense can produce and the plays we can make and how efficient we can be just from the practices. That will hopefully lead into these games.”
