Shawn Marion is one of those guys and one place he won’t be finding work is with the Charlotte Hornets. According to Hornets beat writer Rick Bonnell, despite interest in veteran players and money to spend to land them, there will be no pursuit of Shawn Marion by Michael Jordan and the Hornets.
This isn’t all that shocking but a report from earlier on Monday indicated that the Hornets are not done looking at free agents which means that Marion might not be ruled out completely. We can’t forget that there were reports that the Hornets had cooled on Lance Stephenson but then turned around and signed in him Las Vegas while the rest of the league was sleeping.
Marion might not fit with the Hornets though and both sides might be better off looking in different directions in the future, but nothing is impossible and no one is officially ruled out until Marion signs somewhere.
