While the Cleveland Cavaliers landed LeBron James in the offseason, they are now working hard to try and land another major piece that will just make them a ridiculous threat in the NBA this upcoming season.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

The ongoing pursuit of Kevin Love is something that NBA fans are watching closely as adding Love to LeBron is a deadly combo that won’t be fun for opposing coaches to deal with. That trade requires a lot to happen though, but it seems the Wolves are softening their stance on Andrew Wiggins and are turning their attention to future picks that the Cavs have.

According to Jeff Goodman from ESPN.com, the Wolves want the Cav’s 2015 first-round pick from the Miami Heat as well as a protected pick from the Memphis Grizzlies.

Pulling off this trade means the Wolves are abandoning their efforts to stay competitive in trading Love, which is why they’re holding out for Wiggins. But getting high value back for Love is critical and multiple future first rounders is huge return, even if it’s not equal return, for Love.
