The Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to acquire Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves but they haven’t been able to find middle ground to make a deal happen.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

It’s still too early to say the clock is running out on a trade, but word that the Chicago Bulls are set to offer a massive package to the Wolves that trumps the small offer the Cavs are considering might put pressure on Cleveland to get something done.

But according to Sam Amick from USA Today, it’s the Wolves who are slowing things down by not showing an urgency to make a deal happen.

This seems to clash with reports that the Wolves are ready to deal Love to the Cavaliers but it’s Cleveland holding things up with their reluctance to include certain assets in a trade.

Minnesota is going to wait out the best deal possible and right now Cleveland isn’t telling them anything all that impressive, which means that their lack of urgency to make a deal may stem from the Cavaliers just simply not offering enough more so than an unwillingness to trade Love.
