As if they need anymore of it, the Cleveland Cavaliers fans who are in favor of trading Andrew Wiggins for Kevin Love are in store for some good news: of all the teams the Minnesota Timberwolves have spoken to in regards to potential Love trade, they favor the Cavaliers trade package the most.
The Wolves have talked Love trades for more than a month now. CLE, GSW, CHI, BOS, DEN, PHX, etc., etc., etc. ...

It’s amazing how ineptness has played a key role in the Cavaliers, once again, being a championship contender in the NBA. They’ve picked no higher than fourth in every draft since LeBron James, and in the year they were supposed to make the leap, Cleveland, thanks to a handful of moves that backfired (Bynum, Bennett, Brown), managed to be bad enough to land the top pick in the NBA Draft which turned out to be Andrew Wiggins, one of the more lauded draft prospects in the last ten years.

In comparison to the other trade packages, it’s easy to see why Cleveland stands on top of the other teams in Minnesota’s eyes. They’d land Andrew Wiggins, possibly another number one overall pick in Anthony Bennett, and draft picks for the future–the ultimate coup for a team headed toward a rebuild.
If potential players in their favor, Minnesota could find themselves with a promising core of Ricky Rubio, Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, and Gorgui Dieng instead of a grouping of Klay Thompson/David Lee, Marcus Smart/picks, Taj Gibson/Jimmy Butler, Kenneth Faried/Wilson Chandler, or whatever teams are offering for Love.
With both teams (CLE, MIN) being heavily engrossed in what each other has to offer, it’ll be interesting to see how long these teams play chicken.
