It has been a very busy offseason for the Orlando Magic.

More from NBA

The Magic had two first round picks and used them to select former Arizona Wildcats’ forward Aaron Gordon with the fourth-overall selection and traded the rights to the 12th-overall selection, Croatian forward Dario Saric and a future pick to the Philadelphia 76ers for the rights to the 10th-overall pick, former Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns’ point guard Elfrid Payton. They waived point guard Jameer Nelson Nelson after 10 years with the club and parted ways with guard E’Twaun Moore, big man Jason Maxiell and guard Ronnie Price. They claimed Los Angeles Clippers’ guard Willie Green off of waivers and signed guard Ben Gordon and power forward Channing Frye.

Before any of those moves, they dealt guard Arron Afflalo, to the Denver Nuggets for guard Evan Fournier and the 56th-overall pick in last month’s draft, which wound up being former Iowa Hawkeyes’ guard Roy Devyn Marble.

On Thursday, they officially announced the signing of Marble via a press release.

"The Orlando Magic have signed rookie guard Devyn Marble, General Manager Rob Hennigan announced today.  Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed.  The draft rights to Marble (56th overall pick), along with Evan Fournier, were acquired from Denver in exchange for Arron Afflalo on June 26.Marble (#11, 6’6”, 200, 9/21/92) played in 136 career games during four years at the University of Iowa, averaging 12.5 ppg., 3.4 rpg., 2.9 apg. and 1.29 stlpg. in 27.6 minpg.  He ranks second on the school’s all-time games played list with 136.  Marble also ranks in Hawkeyes’ history in scoring (fifth, 1,694 points), assists (sixth, 397) and steals (seventh, 176)."

According to Josh Robbins of The Orlando Sentinel, it is a three-year deal and only the first year is guaranteed.

Marble averaged 9.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game for the Magic in the Orlando Pro Summer League earlier this month.
