The Miami Dolphins are looking to expand their offense even more in 2014, especially since quarterback Ryan Tannehill is starting to grow into his own as his time in the league moves on. But what they’re trying to implement may surprise some, even Tannehill who will be tasked with using his legs even more.
According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald who is covering the Dolphins training camp, the team has started to work on the read-option with Tannehill and the rest of the offense, and that’s something that everyone should get used to seeing this year.
Ahhh, the option keeper by Ryan Tannehill. You'll see more of that this year.

Despite his big frame, Tannehill can move. Many forget that, before he took over at quarterback at Texas A&M, he was a pretty solid wide receiver for the team. So utilizing his legs even more in the offense going forward does make some sense.

Although, they shouldn’t be utilizing it too many times a game, given the fact that the depth behind Tannehill at quarterback is not all that strong. They certainly don’t want constantly putting him in harm’s way to come back and haunt them down the road.
But this is an interesting development for the team that people are tired of seeing disappoint every year? Could this offensive move get them back to the top?
