The Cleveland Cavaliers are desperately trying to land Kevin Love this summer but they’ve been met with roadblock after roadblock either by the Wolves doing or their own.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

But resolution seems to be on the horizon for the Cavaliers and Love as not only has Love supposedly stated privately to his agent that he wants to be traded to the Cavs, another report indicates that Love is already committing to signing with the Cavaliers in 2015-16.

While he wasn’t busy apparently defending men who beat their significant others, Stephen A. Smith was reporting on the Kevin Love saga and noted that his sources told him that Love is already committing to signing with the Cavaliers in the 2015 offseason.

"From what my sources told me just yesterday, and I don’t know whether this is true or not so I don’t have it locked down, but I’m hearing that Kevin Love is basically telling other teams ‘Don’t bother bringing me long-term because once my contract is up, if I have to serve this last year in Minnesota, I’m going to Cleveland. The man apparently wants to play with LeBron James.”"

It’s hard to say what the level of validity is here with this report, but it seems to make sense with where Love is leaning. A separate report from Fox Sports Ohio reporter Sam Amico stated that the agent of Kevin Love has heard back from his client that Cleveland is the preferred destination for a trade, although a formal request to Minnesota has not yet been made.

Either way, it sound like Cleveland stands alone in the Kevin Love sweepstakes and it truly is a matter of time before LeBron and Love are sharing the same frontcourt in Cleveland.
