The Seattle Seahawks will eventually have Marshawn Lynch in training camp. Despite his holding out for a new contract, eventually the fines will become so severe that he will have to report. But until then, the Seahawks need a body in camp at the running back position, and they have recently held a work out with former Cowboys running back Phillip Tanner.

Tanner, who was non-tendered by the Cowboys earlier this offseason, spent three season with the Cowboys from 2011 until last season. During that time, he rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

But again, this is nothing more than the Seahawks getting a body in camp before Lynch comes back. The chances of the team keeping Tanner, should they bring him in, are very slim, if at all existent.

This past week as training camp was opening up, Lynch informed the team that he would not be showing up as he continues to seek a new deal from the Super Bowl winners. The decision came one day after the Kansas City Chiefs rewarded their back, Jamaal Charles, with a pretty lucrative new deal.
