Dolphins’ Mike Wallace moving around the formation, lining up on both sides
By Mike Dyce
The Miami Dolphins brought in wide receiver Mike Wallace last offseason to bring a weapon to their passing attack to another level, with Wallace serving as a deep threat. In his first-year in Miami he caught 73 passes for 930 yards and five touchdowns and wasn’t quite as productive or the threat they expected him to be.

The most telling stat is that he put up a career low in yards per reception with 12.7 last season.
New offensive coordinator Bill Lazor is planning on using Wallace in a variety of ways to get the most they possibly can out of him, that includes moving him around the offense and lining him up all over the field.
“I think I’ll get to run everything,” Wallace said, via Miami Herald. “I’ll be able to be a complete receiver instead of a one-dimensional guy. Coach tells me every day he’s going to work me to continue to push me to boundaries I’ve never been to.
“I’m excited about it. I’m definitely willing to accept the challenge and be the best player I can be. I feel as long as I’m put in a good position, I’ll play well.”
Getting Wallace excited about his new role and hopefully that enthusiasm can be converted into production.
