On Saturday night, Gennady Golovkin vs Daniele Geale took place at Madison Square Garden in New York.
As many expected, Golovkin successfully defended his WBA (super) and IBO middleweight titles with a three-round beating of Gealae. It was all Golovkin from the opening bell and Golovkin wasted no time taking care of business.
After the win, Golovkin called out Miguel Cotto.

Good round for GGG.Round 2: Right off the bat, GGG brings the onslaught and Geale hits the canvas. Also opened up a cut on the right eye. Geale keeps trying to mount the comeback, but GGG just stays patient, which has worked for him so far. With about 20 seconds in the round, GGG lands a nice overhand right. So far, the first two rounds have been all GGG. Not a good sign for Geale’s chances in the long haul.Round 3: Geale is able to get a nice shot to the midsection early. GGG gets Geale backed into a corner and lands a huge left. Geale escapes, but GGG gets him backed into another corner. GGG gets him into another corner and then drops Geale with a right, followed by a left.
