The Albuquerque Isotopes and Reno Aces plain don’t like each other. When those teams get together, you just know something is bound to happen.

More from MLB

I have no idea if that paragraph is true but I do know that Albuquerque and Reno got it on Saturday, and not in a friendly way. It starts with a catcher and batter jawing at the plate, and pretty soon everyone is throwing down.

A helmet gets chucked. A guy gets tackled to the ground. Other brawls break out away from the main brawl. This is not one of those baseball scrums that gets broken up after a minute and everyone laughs and goes back to the dugout. This is mayhem. At one point it nearly spills over into the crowd as this video clip from KRNV News 4 shows:

GET AHOLD OF YOURSELVES, IT’S A BASEBALL GAME! Too late for that peacekeeping fan. Far, far too late.

When it was over, ten players were ejected. And some fans were left with permanent emotional scarring. If the ‘Topes and Aces didn’t have bad blood before, they have bad blood now.
