David Price is a name that many will be watching as the trade deadline approaches, as each year there’s one name that fans can’t help but get glued to when it comes to how hot the rumors are about them.

This year, that name is Price and the Rays have to name one in order to get somewhere with the supposed trade rumors that are spreading around the league.
According to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, the Mariners, Cubs and Dodgers remain in the mix for David Price as the trade deadline approaches this week.
"The Mariners and Dodgers also are in the mix for Price, sources say, and some within the industry believe that the Cubs will make a play for the All-Star lefty, who has a 1.88 ERA in his past 11 starts and a major-league-leading 183 strikeouts and only 21 walks on the season."
Of the teams still in the mix, the Cubs are the most interesting team outside of the Milwaukee Brewers to be mentioned as a possible landing spot. While the Cubs seem like a questionable destination, Price has reiterated a few times how cool it would be to win a World Series with the Cubs and the appeal that the city of Chicago has to young men with a lot of money can’t be discounted.
There may end up being no David Price trade at all, but the Cubs are interesting options for him and they can’t be counted out until they’re no longer in the running.
