Derrick Rose is beginning training camp for Team USA in Las Vegas on Monday and the Chicago Bulls point guard is hopeful of shaking off the rust after a second season-ending knee injury and making the World Cup Roster.
The early reviews are out and the youngest MVP in league history looks like his old self in this video from the NBA Instagram account.
Prior to the beginning of camp, Team USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski told Yahoo Sports’ Marc Spears that Rose will not have any restrictions on him and will be a full-go in practice:

"“No. No. None at all. Again, he hasn’t played against this competition [in a while]. We have to watch that. But no. He says he’s ready to go. I haven’t seen him play. These next few days I will see the new guys, see Derrick. We put in part of our foundation for this system, but we have to give them the opportunity to play. The Select Team gives us an opportunity to compete and play more than just practice against each other.”"
Coach K wasn’t lying because this clip of Rose leaping off two feet and throwing down the dunk looks like the player who dominated the NBA en route to winning the MVP a few short years ago.
Fans of the Chicago Bulls has seen and heard all the reports of Rose practicing with the Bulls summer league team and looking good, but this visual evidence should give fans of Rose and the Bulls that their face of the franchise, no disrespect to Joakim Noah, is back at 100 percent.
