Stephen Jones not worried about declining attendance at Cowboys training camp

The Dallas Cowboys have been locked into mediocrity following three 8-8 seasons. The fan attendance numbers at training camp have dropped off from 2013, with only 11,002 attending through four days this year.

In 2013, 31,906 fans attended Cowboys training camp in Oxnard, Calif. through eight days. Cowboys chief operating officer Stephen Jones isn’t too concerned about it.
“Not really,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “I think those things will take care of themselves. It’s my understanding that there’s a festival in town this weekend and a lot of the people that normally come out here, some of them are over there. The crowds will take care of themselves.
“I’m worried about putting a good team on the field, not about the crowds.”
Of course that is reading into things and the only attendance numbers are those at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Another disappointing season coming up short could drop those numbers as well, especially given how over priced the Cowboys tickets are.
