It’s been a long time since the Los Angeles Dodgers have been to the World Series and that’s something that the front office is looking to change in the next few days as there’s a strong possibility that L.A. makes a move that lands htem a major trade chip on the market.

Two of the biggest names on the market at the moment are Tampa Bay rays ace David Price and Boston Red Sox ace Jon Lester. Both are the top two targets in trade talks at the moment and one of them could end up finding his way to Los Angeles before the week is through.
According to ESPN’s Buster Olney in his latest ESPN Insider-only blog post, the Los Angeles Dodgers are the team most likely to acquire either David Price or Jon Lester at the deadline as they’re in a ‘win-now’ mode from top to bottom.
It’s been over a quarter-century since the Dodgers were int he World Series as their trip to the 1988 World Series has been their last for a very long time. This, of course, doesn’t mean a trade will for sure happen but the Dodgers know that they have or are close to having a roster that could produce a dynasty in Los Angeles and if adding a piece like Price or Lester — or both, however unlikely that is —
