A lot of Houston Texans fans were quite pleased last week when star wide receiver Andre Johnson showed up to training camp, despite having expressed his desire to leave the only team that he’s ever known. Well now that happiness might turn into a bit of concern as Johnson left Tuesday’s practice with a strained hamstring.

As for how serious the strain might be, that we don’t know at this point. But Schefter does have a point about the time off.

More from Houston Texans

Johnson did not participate in the team’s offseason schedule, and while he probably wasn’t sitting on his couch the entire time eating potato chips, he probably wasn’t going through full-speed football drills.

Since coming back to the team last week, rather than holding out as he looks for the team to get rid of him, Johnson has had a sit-down conversation with first-year head coach Bill O’Brien, which was said to have gone really well.

But now the team, aside from keeping an eye on his happiness with the organization, will have to keep an eye as well on this hamstring injury that will have him sidelined for a bit.
