The move from the Miami Heat to the Cleveland Cavaliers has not only caused fans to troll four-time NBA MVP in LeBron James, but media members as well. According to Cleveland.com, noted Heat fan and radio host Dan LeBetard attempted to purchase a full-page ad in the Plain Dealer, trolling James in the process.

From Cleveland.com

"A mock-up of the advertisement posted on Twitter depicts two Miami Heat championship rings above the words “You’re Welcome, LeBron.” Below are the words “Sincerely, Miami Heat Fans.”Representatives of The Dan LeBatard Show called the Cleveland media outlet on Tuesday to purchase a full-page advertisement in this Sunday’s edition of the newspaper, Northeast Ohio Media Group Vice President of Sales and Marketing Mike Maleski confirmed. NEOMG sales staff are responsible for ads in The Plain Dealer. The show’s request was “politely declined,” Maleski said."

According to Twitter, this is what the ad would’ve looked like:

The attempted troll fits into what LeBetard provides as a sports persona–or at least half of it. When he sees an open opportunity to troll or make a mockery of someone (or something), he dives face-in. Not only would Dan’s ad have been a slight troll to LeBron James, but, if it was what the image above appears to be, it would’ve trolled the entire city of Cleveland, a city where championships aren’t common in pro sports.

While it doesn’t compare to his audio team trolls, this was an excellent idea by LeBetard.
