The Major League Baseball trade deadline for this year is nearing its end, and of course, all eyes are on Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher David Price. The eyes have been on him since a few hours ago when it was first reported that he will definitely be dealt by 4 PM ET. One of the teams that have reportedly jumped into the fray is the New York Yankees. Although if you’re a Yankee fan, hold off on getting your hopes up.
According to Ken Rosenthal, who has been all over everything all day, he’s hearing that while the Yankees might be making a pitch to land Price, there’s “no chance” that a deal will get done between them and the rival Tampa Bay Rays.
Hearing “no chance” #Yankees get Price.

The Yankees have always been considered a contender to make a deal for Price, especially given the bad luck they have had with their starting rotation this season with injuries.

However, the problem is that the Rays have been reportedly looking for a wealth of prospects from whomever they choose to deal with, and the fact of the matter is that the Yankees just don’t have enough to pull anything off.
But again, this is the Yankees we’re talking about. Nothing is ever for certain.
