After the shocking Jon Lester trade that shipped the Oakland A’s, the Rays are now hearing more and more trade talks involving Price, who is the best available starter on the market now that Lester is gone.
According to Jon Morosi from FOXSports.com, the Rays have heard trade chatter increase significantly in the half hour following the Lester trade, which still doesn’t mean a trade will for sure happen but means that something could develop in the next few hours.

Price has been the subject of trade rumors for a while now and the fact that Jon Lester was traded for an All-Star outfielder that the A’s coveted so incredibly means that there’s now a high price set for anyone who wants Price. There are many who believe Price is the better pitcher, so if the Red Sox receiver Yoenis Cespedes in a trade, imagine what the Rays can ask for.
