Kansas City Chiefs star safety Eric Berry has given the team and their faithful fan base a scare, after being carted off of the field during Thursday morning’s practice session at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Berry apparently suffered a foot or ankle injury.

While an injury to Berry is certainly cause for concern, there is no reason to panic just yet.
Reports seem to indicate that the injury is not too serious, with Berry being able to put his full weight on the injured leg.
Eric Berry is being carted off the field but he walked to the cart. Looked to be a foot/leg injury but he put full weight on it.

If the injury is nothing more than your basic sprain, the Chiefs will have dodged a bullet.
Of course, the full extent of the injury will not be known until further tests are conducted.
We will have to see whether or not this injury scare leads to fewer reps for the Pro Bowl safety during the preseason.
